I’m forever grateful

I’m forever grateful to my friend for sharing Mark Engel’s information with me and asking if I’d ever be open to trying hypnotherapy. I have a lifelong non-degenerative physical disability that affects my balance and coordination in my legs. The pandemic brought a lot of unexpected changes to my life, including not going out nearly as much. Because of this, when I did venture out, my legs and my mind weren’t used to it, and I’d freeze when trying to walk up curb cuts. Effectively, this meant that I couldn’t cross the street independently. I’ve worked with an orthopedic physical therapist and neurological physical therapist on this specific issue for a year, and I figured I’d try something out of the box. It couldn’t hurt!

I wasn’t and am not looking to cure my disability, but this was a new, strange issue for me. Before contacting Mark, I knew that I had the physical ability to do this crucial task without freezing, and that I must have some sort of anxiety about it that was causing this. After two sessions, I was able to get out of a cab and seamlessly walk up a curb cut as if it had never been a challenge in the first place. I almost cried right there on the spot. A third session solidified my embrace my newfound confidence that the power to move was within me all along.

I know that while my need was specific and novel to Mark, he handled it with aplomb, grace, caring, and expertise. Working with Mark helped me access what I needed to make this positive change, and I highly recommend working with him.
